Background:
I am currently a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. I have been working with individuals ages 6 and up with a variety of educational and mental health needs for the last 10+ years. My work experience has allowed me to have a wide variety of opportunities in supporting people with diverse needs. My work experience opportunities have included working in child protection, not for profit agencies, schools, clinics and hospitals.
My practice includes health psychology and trauma informed treatments to support first responders and front line workers. I grew up with first responders in my family and have family members in fire, police and dispatch. Additionally, I have worked in hospitals and schools in various support roles and believe this gives me insight into supporting nursing, paramedical and teaching populations. I believe this first hand experience provides me with valuable insight into the subcultures of first responder populations and the systems that people have to work within.
In addition to working in private practice I have had the pleasure of collaborating with my Alma mater City University of Seattle as an Associate Professor for a variety of courses and supporting roles.

~"The only thing that is constant is change."~ Heraclitus
Much like the quote, I believe that the work I do assists other in navigating the "ups" and "downs" of life. I am deeply influenced by current research related to neuroplasticity and that we can indeed "change our brains".
